Endodontics

Endodontics is the branch of dental medicine concerned with treating the tooth pulp – the sensitive inner part of the tooth (dental pulp or nerve) – when it is affected by decay, whether the tooth is vital or non-vital. The first step involves removing the nerve from inside the canal, so that the canal can be enlarged and cleaned. The sterilised canal is then sealed with cement along its entire length, if possible, to avoid any secondary infection.

In the past, these procedures were performed manually and were often time-consuming and tedious for the patient, but they have improved considerably in recent years. Our clinic is equipped with the latest technology and uses nickel-titanium rotary instruments.
